BMW will have a smaller and cheaper crossover than the X1.
BMW is in search of new segments of the car market to fill them with their latest models. The company bet on expanding the line of crossovers. The Bavarian automaker is ready to release the smallest crossover, which will be smaller and more affordable at a price than the BMW X1.
While engineers are developing a new model, the marketing department is struggling with the naming problem. Now the names of crossovers consist of the letter X and a number indicating their place in the hierarchy of the model range. The smallest crossover is the X1. Can an even more compact model be called the X0? No, since 0 causes ambiguous associations. Decimals were also excluded. Therefore, the novelty is likely to receive the name, Urban X.
