The number of banks with negative ratings is going up

The number of banks with negative ratings has increased during the last six months. This information was shared in the report of the international rating agency Fitch Ratings.
So, the value raised 13% in comparison with the previous item amounted to 10% at the end of June, which was triggered by the revision of the sovereign ratings of Italy and several Latin American countries.
At the same time, the share of banks with positive rating forecasts has dropped to 7% from 8%, according to the agency`s statement.
States with developing economies have shown the highest share of banks with “negative” forecasts amounted to 29% at the end of last year. And so, what's interesting about this is Argentina and Mexico accounted for half of them.
Fitch has changed the issuer default ratings of 70 banks in the second half of 2018 against 47 in the first half of the year.
The number of rating downgrades (42) had doubled from January to June and significantly outpaced the number of upgrades (28).
This is mainly attributable to the Turkish banks' deterioration in the ratings, and almost all retain the negative outlook, in accordance with the Fitch rating statement.
So, global bank rating outlooks are more negative than were in the middle of 2018 as a consequence of worldwide economic trend.
