The Chinese giant Tencent might be a new investor for the social network.
Reddit is going to raise from $ 150 million to $ 300 million in the upcoming round D, according to TechCrunch publication, citing several sources familiar with the situation.

So, what do we know about the platform`s monetization? Reddit gives to users an opportunity to launch click ads, promoted posts and video advertisement. But the social network still needs of a huge count of money for moderation due to free posting for any users.
“It's almost a little strange why marketers and advertisers are so apprehensive," said Amanda Parker, an account supervisor for digital marketing agency PMG, in the interview with CNBC about Reddit. "Marketers chase scale and Reddit has it. I think they have an old-fashioned view of who Redditors are."
Also, Reddit had increased by 22% in engagement during last year and by 30% when we are talking about the total view. Such results have triggered the revenue growth which pushed $100 m.
