Amazon will teach smartwatches to distinguish emotions
According to Bloomberg, online giant Amazon has begun developing a wearable device that will be able to recognize human emotions. Voice-activated smart watches are claimed to be a product for health and well-being.
Referring to his anonymous source and the company's internal documentation, the media reports that the wearable device being developed at Amazon has microphones paired with software. This software will be able to distinguish the emotional state of the owner by the sound of his voice. In the end, the device will be able to advise the owner how to more effectively interact with the outside world.
Jeff Bezos took another step towards gaining a share of the health care market. Last year, the billionaire showed his interest in entering the market by purchasing online pharmacies PillPack for $753 million.
Wall Street experts predict a rise in prices for shares of the American technology giant. In the company CFRA, experts predicted the rise in the price of Amazon securities by 21.7%, to $2,200 apiece by April of next year.
The CFRA noted that the technology giant was able to increase sales by 17%, fulfilling its own sales forecast almost at the upper limit of the target range of 10-18%.
